Welcome to the web-site of the Rural Information Centre

The Rural Information Centre (RIC) operates in Nová Baňa, Slovakia, from April 2010. Its aim is to make information, advice and training in the area of agriculture, food production and forestry available to primary producers and processors of agricultural products in the Microregion of Nová Baňa (municipalities of Nová Baňa, Hronský Beňadik, Rudno nad Hronom, Brehy, Veľká Lehota, Voznica, Malá Lehota, Orovnica, Tekovská Breznica).

RIC organizes lectures, discussions and courses, publishes publications and information materials, and provides consultation and access to information resources. Its activities contribute to increasing competitiveness of persons engaged in agriculture in the region, their expertise, skills in using information and communication technologies, creating new jobs and increasing the number of self-employed persons.

The founder of RIC is the civic association ENVIRA in co-operation with the town of Nová Baňa.

Training 

Lifelong learning is an important tool to improve quality, efficiency and modernization of work in each industry.

The Rural Information Center:

- Assists in finding and communicating training opportunities to farmers from the Microregion of Nová Baňa,

- Organizes courses and training,

- Prepares publications and information materials.

Counselling

RIC provides information and counselling to farmers in the following areas:

- Training and education,
- Funding from the EU Structural funds, state budget, subsidies and grants,
- Preparation of applications for financial contribution - direct support, project aid,
- Deadlines for submission of applications,
- Calls for proposals,
- Legislation,
- Cooperation, search of partners,
- New information in agriculture, food production and forestry.
